Official LittleID support

Help with LittleID.

Find quick answers for NFC ID cards, signed event badges, local storage, backups and common iPhone issues.

Scan an NFC ID card

LittleID can read supported LittleID, PuppyID and DiaperID cards.

1

Open Scan

Open the Scan tab and tap Scan ID.

2

Hold the card near your iPhone

Place the NFC card close to the upper back area of the iPhone. Keep the phone and card still for a moment.

3

Review and save

After a successful verification, review the details and tap Save ID locally when you want to keep the ID.

Collect a signed event badge

EventBadge QR codes are checked before they are added to your collection.

Scan the QR code

  • Open the Scan tab and choose Scan event badge.
  • You can also open Events and tap Collect event badge.
  • Allow camera access when iOS asks for permission.
  • Keep the complete QR code visible and avoid glare.

Image download

The signed event data is saved first. The badge image may appear a little later because it is downloaded and checked separately. A failed image download does not remove the collected event.

Backup and restore

Keep a portable copy before changing devices or reinstalling the app.

Create a backup

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Create portable backup.
  3. Save the .llbackup file in a trusted Files or cloud location.

Restore a backup

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Restore backup.
  3. Select your previously created .llbackup file.

Portable backups are not password-encrypted. Store them only in a location you trust.

Common questions

Open a topic to see the recommended steps.

The app says “NFC not available”
  • Make sure you are using an NFC-capable iPhone.
  • Unlock the iPhone and keep the LittleID app in the foreground.
  • Remove very thick or metal phone cases.
  • Close and reopen the app, then try Scan ID again.
  • Hold only one NFC card near the iPhone.
The NFC scan starts but does not read the card
Move the card slowly around the upper back area of the iPhone. Once the scan starts, keep both devices still for a few seconds. Try the card without a wallet, metal holder or another NFC card nearby.
The event QR code is not accepted
Clean the camera lens, increase screen brightness on the device showing the QR code and keep the full code inside the camera view. LittleID only accepts EventBadge QR codes that contain complete and valid signed data.
A collected badge has no image
The event can already be saved while the image is still downloading. Check your internet connection, open the event again and use the retry option when shown. You can also clear the badge image cache in Settings without deleting the collected event information.
Where are saved IDs and badges?
Saved cards are available in the IDs tab. Collected badges are available in the Events tab. Tap a card to open its detail page.
I am changing or reinstalling my iPhone
Create a portable backup in Settings before deleting the app or moving to another device. Store the backup outside the app, then restore it after installing LittleID again.

Eine NFC-ID-Karte scannen

LittleID liest unterstützte LittleID-, PuppyID- und DiaperID-Karten.

1

Scan öffnen

Öffne den Tab Scan und tippe auf Scan ID.

2

Karte ans iPhone halten

Die App meldet „NFC not available“
